Heritage makes a difference.

Heritage Vineyards is a small, family-owned winery in Ohio looking to expand their current market and attract more visitors. Their current brand elements are under-developed and not as visually captivating as other local and national competitors. They also fail to differentiate themselves from other wines without a clear brand identity and standards.

Through this brand identity exploration, I have crafted an approach that is both appropriate for the modern market, as well as emphasizing the familial, traditional aspects that are strong personal values for the winery. Multiple aspects of the brand were created, including print materials, label design, social media, advertisements and merchandising.

Heritage Vineyards is known for their massive Great Pyrenees dogs that greet people right as they pull up the driveway. The personal “heritage” and importance of the dogs ties back to the family-owned aspect of the winery, which is very important to what makes their wine stands apart from the rest. The completed new branding includes an illustration of Tank, the Vineyard’s local mascot, and a simple wordmark that can be used separately from the rest of the logo for simpler designs.
